Borough Aim To Stop Colne’s Hart Beating

Bacup Borough FC entertain Colne FC at the Brian Boys West View Stadium this evening (Wednesday) at 7.45 pm hoping to make it three North West Counties League Premier Division victories on the bounce. To do that they will have to first work out a way to contain the leagues current leading goalscorer Jason Hart who has bagged 8 goals in as many games so far this season. Colne have also won their last two league matches, beating AFC Blackpool 4-2 and Glossop North End 3-2 both on the sloping pitch at their Holt ground. Clearly something will have to give this evening and manager Brent Peters will be hoping to maintain the clean sheets achieved in 3 out of the last 5 competitive fixtures. Young Oldham Athletic loanee Joe Edwards is expected to again be on display in what is expected to be a very similar line-up to the side that defeated Stone Dominoes in such style on Saturday, although Paul Nelson is an injury doubt. We also welcome tonight’s match sponsors SUPERDRAW – Sheffield United FC and hope Mick Rooker and his party enjoy their visit to the Stadium. As usual live updates available, 3G signal permitting, on @bacupborough and @bacupboro.
