Borough Look To Slay Saints

Bacup Borough travel to face St. Helens Town this evening at Edge Green Street (7.45 pm) looking to build on their good win over Maine Road on Saturday. Team captain Daniel Cocks is available, having completed his two match suspension, but it remains to be seen whether boss Brent Peters will make any changes from the side who performed so well at the weekend. Recent signing Adam Turner is also available to make his debut.

St. Helens currently occupy one of the two relegation places, having lost 3-0 at Squires Gate on Saturday to switch places with them in the league table. However, they have played less games than any of the bottom four and still look well placed to get out of trouble. This will be Boro’s first league meeting with them this season after the original game was postponed on Boxing Day.

A reminder that due to their off the field problems St. Helens are currently playing in Ashton-in-Makerfield at Ashton Town FC’s ground. Try and get along to support the lads but if you cannot look for twitter updates @bacupborough and @bacupboro.
