Borough Sign Former Manchester United Starlet Morgan

Former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers trainee Luke Morgan this week signed for Bacup Borough. As a junior Luke spent eight years at Premiership clubs, four at United and four at Blackburn Rovers. Luke then progressed to Bradford City where he earned himself a Professional Contract before leaving for Spain to play an important Role in the Glenn Hoddle Academy. On his return Luke has had spells with Stafford Rangers,Curzon Ashton & Salford City prior to joining Bacup where he was recomended to us by Adrian Bellamy(currently at Salford City ) and Artjoms Butorins (Bacup Borough) both of whom played with him at Bradford City.

Bacup Borough Manager Brent Peters said: “Luke is a good addition to the squad, he arrives at Bacup with a good pedigree of clubs all from a higher level to which we are competing. Whilst I have always maintained that the North West Counties League is a more robust and competitive competition than the Evo Stik first division, nevertheless the clubs Luke has represented are all of excellent standing and they really do not come any better than Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers and the Glenn Hoddle Academy to learn and enhance ones talents in the game.”
