BREAKING NEWS: Matthew’s Request To Step Up In Leagues Is With Peters Blessing

SUNDAY 10th JUNE 2018

Bacup Borough Manager Brent Peters has announced that his twenty eight goal this season man Matthew Bryan will be leaving the club to play further up the National League System, the much sought after player to whom has just been named the HallMark North West Counties League Division One Player of the Year looks set to sign for Evo Stick Side Trafford, although there is also interest being shown from a Conference National Club to whom his Manager Brent Peters has links with.
The Bacup Manager had this to say “ Without doubt Matty has given tremendous service to Bacup Borough Football Club and true loyalty to myself since he signed for me in October 2012, since the season ended me and Matty have had several talks, the fact he is 29 years of age, the fact he has not played higher than the North West Counties League Premiership, the fact he has shown a desire to play at an higher level before his footballing days come to an end, then for me has a Manager it is a no brainer, despite the fact that my first thoughts must always be Bacup Borough, I just cant stand in the boy’s way, Peters added “ I am happy with the squad I have, and I am happy that I will be bringing in two quality front men that both score goals, so in effect, the way I look at it, I am getting two quality players that are proven finishers, for the price of one in Matty, behind these new signings there is also two very good strikers that made the step up from our Youth structure, so whilst losing a quality lad and player in Matthew Bryan, I am confident he will not leave a void. Peters finished by saying “ If Matthew selects Trafford he is going to a very good club with my blessing, equally if something comes from the Conference National Club, this is even better for the lad, I wish him nothing but the best has he is not only a top talent, but a top lad “
