It’s Borough v Borough In Cup Clash

Tonight (Tuesday) Bacup Borough travel to Stainton Park to face their partial namesakes Radcliffe Borough in the second round of the Lancashire Co-Operative Trophy, kick-off 7.45 pm. The hosts play in the Evo Stik League First Division North and are in a decent run of form of late, including an excellent 2-0 away win at fancied Curzon Ashton last midweek.

Manager Brent Peters will be without recent signing Paul Arrowsmith for the clash as he is ineligible, but striker Graham McKeown should be back in contention after being unavailable at the weekend. There are injury doubts over Daniel Cocks and Gareth Wager. There have been some excellent results achieved by North West Counties League sides in county cup competitions over the past couple of weeks and Bacup will be hoping that they can add their name to the roll of honour by causing a cup upset this evening.

As ever your support at Stainton Park will be much appreciated, but if you are unable to travel you can keep up with the action on our live Twitter feeds @bacupborough and @bacupboro.
