Managers Reaction: Lads Efforts Clapped Off By Home Supporters

Manager Brent Peters Comments folowing the silsden defeat.

Peters added” oh so close to taking a point off a very good Silsden side, whilst I was really pleased with our commitment, determination and organisation, it was really heartbreaking to concede with five minutes remaining, Peters added ” Given the fact I had several players missing due to injury, given the fact we were going to be facing a very good strong Silsden Side, it was inevitable I had to change a lot of things not only in personal but team shape, I hoped by the changes I made it would make us more resolute, certainly at the back, credit to all of the lads, this is just how it did pan out, Peters added” to be honest the sending off of Martin Cosgrave for a second yellow card really hurt us more than anything else, Martin is the type of player to very quickly turn defence into attack, to lose him hit us hard, Peters added ” at times we would lose possesion in the midfield area, mainly due to too many touches being taken this resulted in some desperate defending which resulted in free kicks being given away around the box, these situations can be irradicated as they were very much of our own doing, Peters added ” I really did think our defensive unit were excellent, to concede with only five minutes to go was heartbreaking but once the final whistle goes and the Bacup boys all get clapped off by the home supporters, that shows the lads their terrific effort was not all in vain, tonight Bacup Borough won a lot of plaudits and rightly so “
