Bacup Borough boss Brent Peters (left) is closing in on completing a deal for a new striker after chasing down 3 different players this week in his search to increase Borough’s firepower upfront. Two of the players Peters was chasing were on contract with their existing clubs and he was denied permission to speak to them, but the third was not and Peters is expecting some further developments soon. He describes his target as a ‘proven goalscorer at this level’.
Meanwhile utility player Adam Turner has returned to the club. Turner was part of last seasons League Challenge Cup winning side and will provide a useful extra option for Peters as he approaches the business end of the season.
