Managers reaction: Team Play Leads To Goals of Sheer Quality

Following Bacup Borough securing the double over Northwich Manchester Villa Manager Brent Peters had this to say ” This was an important win for us given the fact we have dropped points in our last three matches, not only was it an important win but the manner of our performance was also important by the way we controlled the possession stakes throughout the game.

Peters added” We started really positive helped by the return of Matthew Bryan, make no mistake we were made to work hard throughout the ninety Minutes by a young vibrant team in Northwich Manchester Villa but such was our experience in moving the ball and utilising the entire pitch made it very difficult for the home side.

Peters went onto say ” both of our goals were sheer quality, not just the finishes but the team play leading up to both goals, Peters added ” Matthew Barlows goal came from a difficult situation but made to look easy by such a quality touch when the ball was dropping with snow on it, then such a perfect executed finish really did make it a special goal.

Peters finished by saying “ I was critical of our defending in our previous game but I must give credit where it was due in this game, our defensive unit were solid on the night doing their job in protecting Goal Keeper Peter Monteith well restricting the opposition to minimum chances, all in all it was an impressive all around team performance ”
